Yael Naim biography

In over twenty years of her career, Yael Naim, a French-Israeli singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, score composer and producer, has become an essential artist on the French and international music scene.
She has been awarded three Victoires de la Musique (2008, 2011 & 2016), a Grand Prix Sacem (2011), and a Globe de Cristal for Best Female Performer of the Year (2011). Yael composes and produces not only for herself—four albums to date—but also for various other artists.
From the revolutionary success of her song "New Soul," synchronized for Apple's MacBook Air commercial (number 1 on the French singles chart for 14 weeks and in the top 10 of the Billboard chart in the United States), to her latest deeply intimate album "NightSongs," Yael tirelessly seeks to create her own sound world through a series of increasingly captivating albums, blending folk and organic pop with classical ensembles such as choirs, brass, wind, or strings.
Yael collaborates as a composer, arranger, or producer with numerous artists such as Brad Mehldau, the Metropole Orkest, Jules Buckley, STROMAE, Rone, Orlan, and many others.
Regularly working with David Donatien, A grammy award winner producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, in the creation of her 3 first album and on original soundtracks,
Yael fuses her orchestral and classical pop experience with David’s orchestral pop and soul. From this sharing of worlds emerges creative, innovative music with an unparalleled ability to blend various musical styles.
